The University of Missouri boasts 18 varsity teams which compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Missouri, commonly referred to as Mizzou or MU, has won 86 conference titles since the football programs first championship in 1893. Their most recent title came from the 2018 wrestling team.
The men boast high rankings in the baseball, basketball and wrestling programs while the women have excelled in basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. Notable Alumni include MLB Pitcher, Max Scherzer, who recently won the Cy Young award in 2016 and 2017.
